Conceived as a kit of parts, the house can be arranged and programmed as desired by any future owner or builder. This built prototype demonstrates how a two-car-garage footprint can become a viable model for small-scale housing.
More than a dwelling, the 24FT3 offers a replicable strategy for neighborhoods confronting displacement, rising property values, and gentrification. Designed to support "Missing Middle" housing, the system can accommodate up to two accessory dwelling units on a typical lot. Deployed in backyards or small infill sites, it can increase density while creating opportunities for existing residents to generate rental income and remain rooted in their communities.
